About HFESA

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA) is the national organisation run by ergonomists to promote ergonomics in Australia and is a federated member of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), which is the peak international body of professional ergonomics and human factors organisations.

The goals of the Society are:

  1. Encourage professional development
  2. Increase and improve membership services
  3. Promote ergonomics and ergonomists
  4. Represent the interest of members to government, peak bodies, media and other organisations
  5. Stimulate research, innovation and effective applications of ergonomics
  6. Provide and assist communication systems between members of the Society
  7. Administer the affairs of the Society effectively
