HFESA accepts membership applications for grades of Student, Affiliate, Full Member, and Certified Professional Ergonomist.
Student
This category is intended for any full time student who is interested in human factors, ergonomics, and related sub-disciplines. It is a low-cost option to encourage students to become involved, and discover more about human factors and ergonomics.
- Must be a full time student.
Affiliate
This category is intended for any individual who is interested in human factors and ergonomics, but who do not fulfill the requirements to become a full member. It provides an opportunity for interested individuals to expand their skills in ergonomics and human factors, and to become involved in the community.
Full Member
Supports the Society and its Aim and abides by the Code of Practice
Has approved tertiary qualifications in ergonomics as determined by the Board and one year’s pre- or post-qualification experience in ergonomics
OR
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (as determined by the Society’s Board) and 2 years substantiated experience in ergonomicscurrently practising in ergonomics
