At this event\, attendees will hear how Human Factors Pr actitioners have partnered with healthcare providers to explore human fact ors within health.\n\nThe first topic is presented by Jelena Zestic\, Huma n Factors PhD Candidate from The University of Queensland. In this present ation\, Jelena will discuss her experience with using Cognitive Task Analy sis (CTA) methods to identify and explore the cognitive skills\, strategie s and knowledge used by patient flow operators in their day to day work. T he outcomes of these methods may act as a foundation for system re-design or interventions in the future.\n\nOur second speaker is Robyn Clay-Willia ms\, a Senior Research Fellow and Lead for Human Factors &\; Resilience Research at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation. In this presen tation\, Robyn will discuss the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM ) which is a process mapping method for modelling complex socio-technical systems. It is well-suited for capturing the essential characteristics of everyday work in hospitals and healthcare organisations. FRAM provides a w ay of modelling the activities that make up a task\, as well as their mutu al dependencies\, and is able to show variation in task performance.
