ironment\, human factors integration and psychosocial factors.\n\nPresente

 our Speakers\n\nDavid Nery\nHuman factors Engineer\, HFESA\n\nDavid is a
Human Factors Engineer.  He has an Honours Degree in Psychology\, a Maste
r’s Degree in Human Factors Engineering and is just completing a PhD in
Engineering. His experience in safety engineering and human factors has be
en primarily focused on the safety critical industry sector with a particu
lar focus on defence\, transport and energy projects.\n\nDavid’s goal is
to have human factors integrated early in projects to de-risk schedule\,
cost and quality impacts that often occur when HF has not been considered
early in design. Good human factors integration  does not necessarily cos
t more\, but including human centric requirements into design and having a
human centred design process can produce efficient\, safe\, error resilie
nt and effective designs.  David will share some cases studies and practi
cal examples from his experiences that highlight the benefits of early and
effective HFI within design.\n\nHeidi Turbill\nChair SA Branch\, Certifie
d Professional Ergonomist\, HFESA\n\nHeidi is an experienced Certified Pro
fessional Ergonomist and Occupational Therapist specialising in the area o
f optimizing Human performance through design and Musculoskeletal Injury P
