DESCRIPTION:At the cutting edge\, which is a one day research symposium\, a
 nd two days of workshops\; from 10-12 February 2020 at the University of t

 Factors and Sociotechnical Systems led by Professor Paul Salmon will be ho
 sting Human Factors 2020: At the cutting edge\, which is a one day researc
 h symposium\, and two days of workshops\; from 10-12 February 2020 at the 
 University of the Sunshine Coast.\n\nThe symposium will include presentati
 ons from leading national and international experts in Human Factors\, inc
 luding Professor Neville Stanton\, leader of the Human Factors and Enginee
 ring Group at the University of Southampton and Dr Stuart Marshall\, Senio
 r Research Fellow - Anaesthesia Teaching and Research\, from Monash Univer
 sity. In addition\, the symposium will feature presentations from the Cent
 re’s research leaders\, including Professor Paul Salmon\, Dr Gemma Read\
 , Dr Natassia Goode\, Dr Clare Dallat\, and Dr Nicholas Stevens. Presentat
 ions will cover examples of state-of-the-art HFE research being applied in
  practice in a range of domains including transport\, healthcare\, defence
 \, urban design\, workplace safety\, and sport and outdoor recreation.\n\n
 The symposium will be followed by two days of workshops\, which will provi
 de attendees with hands-on training\, practical guidance\, and resources f
 or applying HFE methods to address a range of key areas\, including:\n\nSy
 stems Analysis\;\nRisk Assessment\;\nTask Analysis\;\nHuman Factors Integr
 ation\; and\nHuman Factors Evaluation\n\nPlease see the event website for
