DESCRIPTION:Professional Writing Seminar - using structured writing to get 
 the outcomes you want. \n\nPresenter: Vivienne Begg\n\nThe workshop will 
 cover:\n*   analysing the document to be written with respect to purpose
  and audience\n*   organising the document in terms of identifying the c
 ontent required\, and how to structure and sequence it\n*   presenting t
 he document - writing tips and best practice guidelines for presenting con
 tent.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring one or two documents to revi
 ew during the workshop.\n\nAbout the workshop ...\n\nStructured writing is
  a research-based approach to writing that is highly effective for all typ
 es of documents.  The approach provides writers with a consistent framewo
 rk for developing their documents in an efficient way.  And it provides r
 eaders with information that's easy to find\, easy to understand and easy 
 to act on.\n\nIt can be applied to writing any type of document\, includin
 g emails\, business reports and proposals\, training materials\, documenta
 tion of all types including policies and procedures\, and web content.\n\n
 In this hands-on interactive workshop we'll look at how to follow a writin
 g process that will make it easy for you to become more efficient in your 
 writing and create documents that will get the results you want.\n\nAbout 
 Vivienne ...\n\nVivienne has over 25 years experience with structured writ
 ing\, both as a workshop facilitator and practitioner in the approach.  S
 he has taught structured writing for a wide variety of private and public 
 sector clients in Australia\, as well as New Zealand\, Hong Kong and Malay
 sia.  In addition\, she has worked with clients to apply the approach in 
 a variety of contexts.  These include developing procedural documentation
  for a bank intranet\, writing Standard Operating Procedures for a pharmac
 eutical company\, writing product information for a financial institution 
 website\, and creating HR policies for a start-up company.  Her writing e
 xperience also extends to writing medical news stories\, customer service 
 newsletters and training services.  She also provides coaching and editin
