SUMMARY:QLD Branch PD Event: People at Work: Human performance with a psych
 ological lens
DESCRIPTION:Summary\n\nThe People at Work psychosocial risk assessment tool
  provides a way for workplaces to identify their psychosocial risks\, benc
 hmark them and track improvements over time - for free! It helps identify 
 key psychosocial hazards in the workplace and provides guidance on practic
 al ways to manage them. It was developed in collaboration with Australian 
 WHS regulators and leading researchers. This free risk assessment tool hel
 ps workplaces better identify and manage work-related risks to psychologic
 al health and compare themselves to other workplaces. The benefits of a sy
 stematic approach to psychological health include decreases in work-relate
 d injuries\, illnesses\, claims\, absenteeism and turnover\, and results i
 n increases in engagement\, productivity\, job satisfaction and attraction
  of top talent. Positive psychological and physical health\, worker satisf
 action and greater business efficiencies can be assisted through good psyc
 hosocial risk assessments and effective design and management of work. The
  People at Work tool is easy to use and includes supporting resources for 
 businesses to work through and interpret their results\n\nPresenter : Nat
  Dunton\n\nChief Advisor – Psychological Health Team\nNat is a registere
 d Psychologist and has spent 20 years combining her clinical and organisat
 ional systems knowledge across a range of industries including public\, pr
 ivate and non-government sectors as well as providing clinical work in pri
 vate practice.\nNat has worked in regional and remote areas and has extens
 ive background working with emergency services first responders\, critical
  incidents and disaster management including floods\, cyclones and Christc
 hurch earthquake in 2011 with Queensland Fire and Emergency services (QFES
 )\nCurrently\, Nat is the Chief Advisor for Psychological Health within Wo
 rk Health Safety Queensland (WHSQ) which operates at the industry level to
  design mentally healthy work and to strengthen the regulatory and risk ma
 nagement approaches to work-related psychological health and safety.This P
 D event will be delivered via Zoom.\n\nDate and time: 14th July 2021\, 18
 :00-19:00 AEST\nCost: Free for members\, $30 for non-members\nRegistration
