DESCRIPTION:Fatigue in Aviation\nMark Corbett\, CPE\nAlthough fatigue is s
 een as an increasing problem\, in aviation it has been an issue since the 
 early days of flight. This presentation will discuss the assessment of fat
 igue in the aviation domain and its evolution. It will look at the types o
 f fatigue-related research data that have been and can be collected. We wi
 ll discuss what issues might need to be considered when considering invest

 ustralia\nFatigue arising from shift work may adversely impact nurses’ s
 afety\, health and wellbeing\, increase risk to patients\, and create chal
 lenges for effective healthcare delivery.\nThis presentation discusses the
  National Code of Practice for the management of shift work to mitigate nu
 rses’ fatigue\, based on data from a national survey of New Zealand publ
 ic hospital nurses.\nThe Code provides evidence-informed guidance on optim
 al shift design through collaboratively implementing a Fatigue and Shift W
 ork Management System (FSMS).\nThe Code adopts a flexible and world-leadin
 g approach with the potential to improve outcomes for nurses\, patients an
