The following list compiles excellent anthropometric resources for use by individuals new to anthropometry and for those with significant anthropometric knowledge.

  1. ANSUR
    1. Anthropometric Survey of US Army Personnel (ANSUR 2 or ANSUR II)
    2. Published internally in 2012. Publicly available 2017.
    3. Most comprehensive publicly available data set on body size and shape.
    4. Includes 93 measures for over 6,000 adult US military personnel (4,082 men and 1,986 women).
    5. Not an approximation of the US Civilian population.
    6. Useful information – however designs & standards based on data will not accommodate most user populations.
