Good Layout Design: Using Principles of Gestalt and Visual Pre-processing Theory
In this interactive session, Tudor will show you how taking advantage of Gestalt and visual pre-processing can dramatically improve Human Computer Interaction. This session will provide demonstrations of these theories in action and run through a practical example by applying these principles to improving an example user interface.
About Tudor Goode
Tudor is a master dork. He is a collector of absurd and arcane facts that have no practical use other than being vaguely interesting. In his day job, Tudor works as a Senior Human Computer Interaction Specialist at Transport for New South Wales. Tudor’s last major project was designing a Geographical Information System for real-time tracking of Sydney’s bus fleet. When not at work, he likes to build and launch flying model rockets, play with robotic Lego, and develop really crappy computer games.
