VIC PD: Standing Ergonomics – An Investigative Study of Female Apparel Workers

In this interactive session, we will explore an intriguing ergonomics study investigating work-related discomfort among female apparel workers in Sri Lanka’s garment factories. The study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover the real impact of prolonged standing and repetitive tasks on worker wellbeing and performance.
Through this session, participants will:
- Engage directly with real-world case data
- Discuss challenges, insights, and practical ergonomic considerations
- Collaboratively explore how similar issues might present across various industries
Join us to uncover the story behind the data and discover how ergonomic interventions can transform workplaces. The session is designed to spark conversation, encourage critical thinking, and invite participants to co-create solutions.
