Event Synopsis:

Wendy will be presenting on the role of an expert witness through case studies from her experience over the last 15 years. Information regarding the Expert Witness Code of Conduct, the ‘rules’ for expert witnesses, will be presented. The framework of expert reports and writing persuasive reports will be discussed as well as tips on appearing as an expert witness in Court.

 

Our Presenter:

Wendy is a physiotherapist who has specialised in ergonomics within the field of workplace health and safety since the early 1990’s. Wendy has worked across a range of industries and was a Senior Inspector and Scientific Officer (Human Factors and Ergonomics) at WorkSafe Western Australia for seven years. Wendy has been a partner in Ergonomica since 2005, providing ergonomics consultancy services to government and private sector organisations, including expert witness services to Plaintiff and Defendant in legal matters. Wendy is a Certified Professional Ergonomist and an active member of HFESA, particularly the WA Branch.
