Theo is a qualified mechanical engineer, Ergonomist and risk management consultant. His qualifications include a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics and a Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (OHS). Theo also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He is a Certified Professional Ergonomist through the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA), a Chartered Professional Member of the Safety Institute Australia and a Certified OHS Professional. Theo began his career in 1984 as a project engineer in the textiles industry before soon developing an interest in ergonomics. After completing the appropriate tertiary qualification he became the Ergonomist and Safety Engineer for Ford Motor Company in Geelong, Victoria in 1986. Later, in 1989 he took on a wider role as Company Ergonomist and Risk Engineer with Nissan Motor Company in Clayton, Victoria and completed further qualifications in Risk Management. From 1992 to 2001 Theo began his consulting roles in Melbourne, Victoria with Sedgwick Limited as a Senior Risk Consultant and later with Marsh Pty Ltd as Principal Consultant. Since 2001, through Kanellos Consulting Pty Ltd, Theo has continued to deliver high quality risk management consultancies to large, medium and small sized client organisations in a wide range of industries.
