Keir Beck

A maestro of adrenaline from Fin River Pictures

KEIR BECK

Keir’s Gala Dinner Topic

Keir explains how dangerous stunts can be safely executed, and how working as an arborist helped him devise stunts to minimise safety risks.

Keir Beck – A maestro of adrenaline

Imagine being the maestro of adrenaline, orchestrating heart-pounding spectacles that defy gravity and push the limits of human capability. Keir Beck makes these death-defying, edge-of-your-seat visual cinematics possible as a high-impact, action-sequence stunt coordinator. His work is characterised by intense physicality and the management of credible fatal hazards. Keir is an award winning, Australian stuntman and film director based on the Gold Coast. He has won numerous awards for his stunt work, including the prestigious Screen Actors Guild Award for his Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a motion Picture and two Taurus Awards for Best Stunt Rigging and Best Stunt Coordination. Keir is known for his work on Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Casino Royale (2006), and Fall Guy.

Keir’s stunts involve dynamic movements, falls from heights, collisions, car chase scenes, aerial manoeuvres, water stunts, fight scenes with intense physical combat, explosions with pyrotechnic effects, and lighting people on fire. He is a ‘Master of Performance’, and he will describe the technologies, leadership strategies, and systems design approaches that he uses to make the most iconic Hollywood action movies come alive.
