This visit to the Southern Mines Rescue Station will include a tour of the world’s most advanced mine safety training simulator. The virtual reality system is an Underground Operating Whole of Mine with over 50km of roadway, covering all regular mining methods and an Open Cut Operating Whole of Mine. If time permits, this visit will also include a tour of the underground gallery used for mine rescue practice.
Registration for this site visit will be required due to limited numbers (maximum 30 people). Details of this process will be made available online soon.
Transport costs are included in conference registration.
