The consideration of psychosocial factors has become a key part of our ergonomics work these days, especially in relation to the prevention of Musculo-Skeletal Disorders.  Among the factors in consideration is how leaders communicate and set the tone and culture of a work environment, especially during workplace change.  We all have a sense of what poor leadership looks and feels like, but what are the habits, behaviours and approaches that people leaders from the top down can learn and practice that can work to minimise or eliminate those unwanted psychosocial impacts. Much of this comes down to communications.  Lana will approach the topic through a discussion of effective leader.
